• Gorgeous Betsy Ross Lilac in full bloom

    Betsy Ross Lilac (White)

    $24.95

The Betsy Ross Lilac is truly a one-of-a-kind, harder-to-find variety. Not all lilacs can be grown in warmer climates but she can be! This was the first lilac release from the U.S. National Arboretum, specifically developed for its disease resistance (like powdery mildew) in warmer climates and for its gorgeous rounded shape and fluffy, profuse white flowering habit. She’s a winner!

***Note: From late winter to early spring, lilacs are dormant (no leaves) and will be shipped bare root with minimal to no dirt. Please see the last 2 photos for a reference of overall size, roots, and dormancy. These are an example of what you will receive. Thanks!

  • buttonbush in bloom

    Buttonbush

    $19.99

If you’re not familiar with ButtonBush, prepare to meet one of the neatest plants you’ll ever meet.  It’s a native shrub that produces these incredible pin-cushion-like white balls that have a scented flower head.  Hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators absolutely love this plant! Because of this, ButtonBush has a very important purpose.

ButtonBush are water lovers so they do well around ponds, rain gardens, along streams, or anywhere it won’t dry out.  In fact, it can be grown in water up to 18″ deep!  If planted in your landscape, just be sure to keep it watered.  Otherwise, it is extremely low maintenance, doesn’t really require pruning, and has no serious issues with pests or disease.

Ours are in 2-gallon pots and would love a well-watered home with you! I don’t think you’ll regret having this unique beauty around you, and you’ll feel great about supporting the pollinators.

    Chesapeake Crablegs Daylily

    $10.00

What better name for a plant on the Eastern Shore than Chesapeake Crablegs Daylily? When we saw this one, we just knew you’d love it! So why the name?  These bright orange and red petals are long, narrow, and slightly curled under, much like crab legs. :)

Daylilies are tough plants and do well when planted in full to part sun in well-draining but evenly moist soil.  Ours are in one-gallon pots, healthy, and blooming now (as seen in the photo).  Keep them flowering by removing old, spent blooms once they’re done.  If you enjoy daylilies, you’ll love these unique colors!

  • Emerald Gaiety Wintercreeper

    $14.95

Emerald Gaiety Wintercreeper (Euonymus fortunei ‘Emerald Gaiety’) is a versatile evergreen plant offering a colorful touch with its beautiful green and white variegated leaves.  When it turns cold, my leaves get a very nice pink tone to them! It works well as a foundation plant, climbing vine, or as ground cover.  Anywhere my stems touch the ground, I will root and spread.  Because of this, some consider me invasive.

Please see our listing on Etsy to buy.

My beautiful colors make me perfect to use with other evergreens of varying heights.  I’m also low-maintenance, hardy, and require very little care once established.

Ours are in 1-gallon pots, very well rooted and ready to show off for you!

    Low maintenance!

    Java Red Weigela

    $16.99

Weigela is one of the most popular shrubs in the United States for good reason! They are low maintenance, provide outstanding color, are non-invasive, and are highly versatile for many types of landscape uses. This variety, Java Red Weigela, is one of the most sought-after (and harder to find) because of its purple-tinged leaf color, and dwarf-growing habit.

➡️ Please see the last 3 photos for an example of the actual plants you will receive. Weigela are dormant from late fall to early spring. These will be shipped without pots but the roots will be wrapped in moist paper and secured with plastic wrap for safe journeys to you! Thanks! :)

  • noah's ark daylily

The Noah’s Ark Daylily is a re-blooming buttery, creamy yellow daylily that will make you smile with its cheery color every time you see it.  The blooms are large, appearing mid-season (May/June).  To help me re-bloom, cut off my spent blooms so I can re-focus my energy.  I’m low-maintenance, hardy, and perfect when planted with natives like Blazing Star (liatris spicata) or Black-Eyed-Susans.

Ours are potted in gallon-sized pots, ready for their new home with you! Please note; Daylilies cannot be shipped during cold months. These would not ship until warm spring temperatures after the threat of freezing has occurred.

  • pink lemonade blueberries

    Pink Lemonade Blueberry

The Pink Lemonade Blueberry (vaccinium ‘pink lemonade’) might not be blue, but it is oh so sweet! In fact, some say it’s even sweeter than the traditional berries you’re used to. Picking these unique blueberries in late summer to early fall fresh off the bush as a treat for you or with your loved ones is a memory not soon forgotten!

Ours are young (starter plant) blueberry bushes, 6 – 12 inches tall, ready for planting and growing in their new home! In 2 – 3 years, you’ll be enjoying my berries!

  • pink sorrel

    Pink Sorrel

    $12.49

Pink sorrel (Oxalis articulata) is an old-fashioned beauty often found in the yards of older homes here on the Eastern Shore.  Its vibrant and cheery pink blooms close up at night and welcome each new morning open and alive.  Keep in mind, this plant will go dormant in the summertime if it is not kept nice and moist.

Ours are in 1-gallon pots, divided from our own pink sorrel that has been here for over 100 years.  This is a ground cover plant worth all the love it receives from the people who cherish it.

  • rose of sharon

    Rose of Sharon

    $18.95

Rose of Sharon (hibiscus syriacus) is another favorite of many for its easy, low-maintenance style and fast-growing nature.  Another reason people love me is that I bloom continuously from mid-summer to fall!  Not many plants can boast that!

I have a shallow root system which makes me good for use near wells or septic tanks and home foundations. My height (8 – 12 ft) makes me useful for a beautiful privacy screen as well!  Plus, butterflies and hummingbirds absolutely love me!  Be sure to plant me where you can enjoy seeing the pollinators I attract.

Plant me in an area with full sun in the morning with dappled afternoon shade from the hot sun.  Other than that, I’m very fuss-free!

Note: Ours were mixed seedlings that we grew up from tiny babies so we do not know what color they are! Colors tend to be blue, red, purple/pink, or white, but all are beautiful!  Our Rose of Sharon is also several years old and very ready to be in the ground.  (We’re a little cranky in these pots, ya know!)

  • Silver Dollar Hydrangea

    Silver Dollar Hydrangea

    $13.50

Silver Dollar Hydrangea is simply stunning!  Its showy blooms typically emerge in the mid-summer (around July) as a beautiful white color and gradually fade to pink tones.  This beauty can bloom into the fall!  If you love cut flowers, these are absolutely perfect!  Best of all, these hydrangea bloom on new wood which means your buds will be protected from the late spring frosts!

Reaching only 4 – 5 feet tall and wide at its maturity, this amazing small shrub is perfect for yards where you are low on space but want a big impact. It’s a real eye-catcher.

Silver Dollar Hydrangea does best in full sun to part shade.  We think morning sun and dappled afternoon shade works great! Rich soil keeps these hydrangeas looking and feeling their best, so adding compost to their dirt helps a lot!  Acid-lovers fertilizer during the growing season also helps keep them healthy.

They like well-draining soil that is consistently moist.  Hot summer months may require extra care to be sure they don’t completely dry out! In the early spring, prune them to maintain good shape and healthy blooms.

**Note: Panicle hydrangeas are dormant from late fall to early spring (no leaves) and will be sold/shipped bare root (no pot with minimal dirt). These are healthy starter hydrangeas. Please be sure to see the last photo in the gallery for the overall size and roots to be sure you are happy before you order. Thanks! :)

  • Weeping Yoshino Cherry Tree (Shidare Yoshino) when mature and in bloom

    Weeping Yoshino Cherry Tree (Shidare)

    $26.95

Showstopper. Stunningly gorgeous. Dramatic. These are all perfect descriptions for the Shidare Weeping Yoshino Cherry tree. Spectacular pink and white blooms fill this tree around April before leafing out later on. Blooms can last for several weeks! There’s no doubt this one is an eye-catcher and you’ll look forward to seeing it every single year.

The Weeping Yoshino cherry tree is often harder to find than its upright cousin, which can make this tree very expensive when you find it. Ours are a steal of a deal; nice, healthy, starter trees.

These will be shipped without pots but the roots will be protected in moist paper and secured with plastic wrap, with or without some soil (depending on time of year), to maintain moisture on its journey to you. ➡️ Please see the last photo for an example of size, roots, dormancy, etc. The curled stems indicate their weeping nature. It is best to support these with a bamboo stake or other support while they grow and get stronger. Please be sure you are happy before you order. Thanks! :)
