Spotted Japanese Laurel

If you need to liven up a shady corner of your home or yard, the Spotted Japanese Laurel is an excellent plant to consider.  Beloved for its glossy and vibrant green leaves with golden-yellow spotting, this hardy plant provides color all year long.  If both male and female are present, I’ll even produce beautiful flowers in spring that turns into a red berry in fall. Unfortunately, my berries are toxic to both humans and pets, if eaten.

The good news is that I’m a favorite for my low-maintenance nature and my versatility.  I can be grown in containers or planted with other colorful trees or shrubs like Japanese Maples, Hosta, or Azaleas for some extra color against my evergreen leaves!

This plant really does have a lot to love.  If you’re looking for an easy care, shade-tolerant, and evergreen shrub, don’t look past this one!
