The best part? They delight you with ever-changing colors. In summer, they emerge a stunning lime green color that gradually fades to a creamy white. Next comes a deep pink that fades to beige in the fall. They make the perfect cut flowers!

Even when not in bloom, these incredible shrubs offer beauty to your landscape with their vibrant green leaves that turn reddish in the fall before dropping off.

Is Limelight Hydrangea right for you?

These showstoppers average 6 to 8 feet tall and wide. They don’t like to dry out completely so they prefer moist but well-draining soil on the acidic side.

Morning sun and afternoon shade are the most ideal for these shrubs. The more sun they receive, the more water they will require to stay healthy.

Overall, they are extremely low-maintenance plants. Pruning in late winter/early spring is needed for best spring growth. Panicle hydrangeas are however very easy to maintain. This video explains just how simple it is to care for these beauties.
