Goldflame Spirea
Original price was: $14.98.$9.95Current price is: $9.95.
Color, color, and more color! That’s the Goldflame spirea with its multi-season interest. In spring, the bright leaves emerge with tons of reds and bronze, which turn into yellows and greens in the late spring/summer. In fall, these spirea show off with brilliant colors of oranges, reds, and yellows! But best of all — in late spring/early summer, this beautiful bush will even reward you with rosy pink blooms that fill its branches. It’s a low-maintenance small shrub that is perfect for gardeners who don’t want a whole lot of fuss but still want a whole lot of color! It is however deciduous so they will lose their leaves in winter.
These beautiful starter shrubs will ship without pots but will have their roots wrapped in moist paper and secured with plastic wrap for safe travels to you! These are currently being grown in gallon pots and are well-established. ➡️ See the main photo as an example of what you will receive. (Those are our plants). They will happily and quickly grow for you in the ground, or in a pot on your patio, if you prefer! 🙂

Description
Is Goldflame Spirea right for you?
🚨🚨 **** Important note: Sorry, No Sales to Western, Territories, or Phyto-certificate states due to shipping restrictions in your state (Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, Utah, and Idaho). I can also only ship to Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi during bare root season (late fall through early spring) due to Japanese Beetle regulations.
✅ Botanical name: Spiraea Japonica ‘Goldflame’
✅ Zones: 4-9
✅ Mature size: 3-4 feet tall and wide. Pretty fast grower too!
✅ Bloom time: Late spring to early summer. With good care, they may bloom again later in the summer!
✅ Light: 6+ hours of direct sun is most ideal (may tolerate very light shading)
✅ Soil: Tolerant of most conditions but does need well-draining and consistently moist without being waterlogged.
✅ Pruning: Later winter/early spring for shaping. “Rejuvenation prunes” where the bush gets cut almost all the way back are fine but wait until after flowering.
✅ Spirea will “sucker” and spread so be sure to remove those if you do not want them to.
🐝🦋 Butterflies and pollinators LOVE spirea blooms!
🦌 But… spirea do not seem to attract deer!
✅ This is a low-maintenance shrub, with very little to no pest and disease issues! The ultimate ‘black thumb’ plant, y’all! 🙂
✅ Because of their size, these small shrubs work great for so many purposes: foundation plantings, pollinator gardens, city and cottage gardens, bordering walkways or driveways, or anywhere you need that pop of color to brighten up the space. Best of all, they usually fill out right down to the ground so you won’t need lots of plants in front to cover the bare spots.
✅ These are beautiful plants that can live around 20 years with the right conditions.
If you have any questions, I’m here to help the best I can! As a small family nursery, my goal is to offer the “personal touch” to show you that we care about your business. Customer service, and your support, sincerely matter to us. Thanks for looking!
➡️ I do my best to package your plants with the utmost care and love. Roots will be wrapped in damp paper with a plastic layer secured over top to hold in moisture. We always put “live plant stickers” on your box in hopes that UPS will indeed handle your box with love. We also ship in the quickest (affordable) manner possible to ensure your new plant babies get in your hands as soon as possible. We do not use USPS because we have seen too many long delays which makes for unhappy plants and customers. 🙂 Shipping occurs Monday and Tuesday – sometimes Wednesday – if you are close enough for a Friday delivery. We do this to prevent your plants from sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. If there are major issues with your order, please reach out. We care about your happiness. ❤️
