✅ Botanical name: Lagerstroemia hybrid ‘Pocomoke’

✅ Zones: 6-9 (possibly even 10)

✅ Mature size: 2-5 feet tall and wide. Can be container grown. Also perfect foundation plants.

✅ Spacing: 3 feet apart

✅ Light: 6+ hours of direct sun per day

✅ Soil: Well-draining. Prefers acidic, but tolerates different types of soil.

✅ Water: Keep consistently moist (but not saturated) the first year while the roots get established. After this period, much less water is needed as this shrub shows good drought tolerance.

✅ Pruning: Done in late winter through early spring for shaping.

✅ Fertilizer: A springtime feeding with a tree and shrub food is perfect.

✅ Very hardy plant that has little to no issues with disease and pests. This variety also shows great resistance to powdery mildew, a common issue for crape myrtles. It is also deer resistant.

For shipping…

➡️ I do my best to package your plants with the utmost care and love. Roots will be wrapped in damp paper with a plastic layer secured over top to hold in moisture. We always put “live plant stickers” on your box in hopes that UPS will indeed handle your box with love. We also ship in the quickest (affordable) manner possible to ensure your new plant babies get in your hands as soon as possible. We do not use USPS because we have seen too many long delays which makes for unhappy plants and customers. 🙂 Shipping occurs Monday and Tuesday – sometimes Wednesday – if you are close enough for a Friday delivery. We do this to prevent your plants from sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. If there are major issues with your order, please reach out. We care about your happiness. ❤️
