Issai Hardy Kiwi vine is both beautiful & delicious! It’s a perfect choice for homesteading or for those of you who love edible landscaping! These vines are low maintenance, tolerant of heat and humidity, mostly pest and disease-free, easy to care for, and have beautiful, fragrant flowers in early summer!

🌸 This listing is for one Issai Hardy Kiwi Vine (Actinidia arguta ‘Issai’) currently a couple of years old, well-established, and growing in 1 gallon pots. These are very healthy starter plants. See the first photo for a reference of the kiwi vines you will receive to be sure you are happy with size before you order 🙂 Thanks! These will be shipped without pots, but with their roots wrapped in moist paper and secured with plastic wrap to ensure safe travels to you! From late fall to early spring, these plants will be dormant (no leaves).

I can also only ship to Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi during bare root season (late fall through early spring) due to Japanese Beetle regulations.
🚨 These are fast growers when happy, and will require a support structure (wall, trellis, arbor, etc) for healthy growth!
✅ Botanical name: Actinidia arguta ‘Issai’
✅ Growing zones: 3-9
✅ Mature size: 12-20 feet tall with a 3-5 foot spread. Quick grower once established.
✅ Light requirements: Partial shade to full sun. At least 4+ hours of direct sun daily.
✅ Soil: Likes acidic soil, well-draining. Adaptable to soil types, though.
✅ Water: Average moisture. Doesn’t like to be saturated but enjoys consistently moist. (so long as it drains well)
✅ Fertilizer: Feed these in early spring with a good organic balanced food, like a 10-10-10. These kiwi vines love nitrogen-based fertilizer.
✅ Heat, humidity, pest, and disease resistance!

➡️ I do my best to package your plants with the utmost care and love. Roots will be wrapped in damp paper with a plastic layer secured over top to hold in moisture. We always put “live plant stickers” on your box in hopes that UPS will indeed handle your box with love. We also ship in the quickest (affordable) manner possible to ensure your new plant babies get in your hands as soon as possible. We do not use USPS because we have seen too many long delays which makes for unhappy plants and customers. 🙂 Shipping occurs Monday and Tuesday – sometimes Wednesday – if you are close enough for a Friday delivery. We do this to prevent your plants from sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. If there are major issues with your order, please reach out. We care about your happiness. ❤️
