Golden Delicious Apple Tree

$19.99

Yum is the word for the fruit a Golden Delicious apple tree produces! Their apples are juicy, sweet, and crisp without that super tangy or bitter flavor.  It’s one of the most popular apples for good reason! The desserts made with this apple are the best!

➡️ This tree is self-fertile and is a pollinator for most other varieties!

From late fall to early spring, your apple tree will ship dormant (no leaves until spring) and bare root (no pot or dirt). *Please* see the last 2 photos in our gallery for an example of the actual plants you will receive!

Please see the description below for more information.

Is the Golden Delicious Apple Tree right for you?

**** Important note: Sorry, No Sales to Western, Territories, or Phyto-certificate states due to shipping restrictions in your state (Hawaii, Alaska, California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, and Idaho)

✅ Botanical Name: Malus domestica ‘Golden Delicious’
✅ Hardiness Zones: 4 – 9
✅ Bloom Time: Spring — gorgeous white flowers
✅ Fruit ripens in late September to October
✅ Light needs: Full to part sun (6+ hours of sun daily)
✅ Soil: Consistently moist, well-drained soil — slightly acidic preferred
✅ Mature Size: Averages 12-15′ tall and wide
✅ Self-fertile but produces more with another variety nearby

✅ Heat tolerant and cold hardy once established

✅ Treat with copper-based fungicide in spring to keep this tree healthy. It’s easier to prevent disease than to treat a problem! They do need care but are rewarding!
✅ Consistent applications of neem oil also work well (but don’t combine with copper at the same time)
✅ You can prune/thin once dormant (late fall to early spring) to prevent overcrowding which creates disease
✅ Pollinators love my blooms!
✅ Add compost to your planting hole and apply a slow-release balanced fertilizer in the spring on top of the soil. Espoma Tree-Tone works well

If you have any questions, I’m here to help the best I can! As a small family nursery, my goal is to offer the “personal touch” to show you that we care about your business. Customer service, and your support, sincerely matter to us. Thanks for looking!

➡️ I do my best to package your plants with the utmost care and love. Roots will be wrapped in damp paper with a plastic layer secured over top to hold in moisture. We always put “live plant stickers” on your box in hopes that UPS will indeed handle your box with love. We also ship in the quickest (affordable) manner possible to ensure your new plant babies get in your hands as soon as possible. We do not use USPS because we have seen too many long delays which makes for unhappy plants and customers. 🙂 Shipping occurs Monday and Tuesday – sometimes Wednesday – if you are close enough for a Friday delivery. We do this to prevent your plants from sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. If there are major issues with your order, please reach out. We care about your happiness. ❤️
